Armed Close Protection Officers in New York

We were pleased to be contracted to provide two licensed armed close protection operatives for a 5-person German television crew covering the US elections from New York City.

The Assignment

The client asked for a discreet yet proactive security presence to protect the crew’s safety and secure the expensive equipment.

• Proactively identify risks to the team and equipment.
• Monitor and assess potential threats, including civil unrest or public demonstrations.
• Maintain a respectful and discreet approach toward the crew, interviewees, and the public.
• Adhere to local laws and extra directives from law enforcement or the Secret Service.
• Safeguard the crew from harassment or physical threats, especially during live broadcasts.
• Guard and protect equipment against theft or damage.
• Assist with transporting and setting up equipment when needed.
• Document any security-related incidents for post-assignment review.

Successful Outcome

Across 2 days of filming, the camera crew did their job without threat or disturbance. The crew was reassured by the presence of our security officers and pleased with the service.
